There is a man, living drink to drink. Life’s thrown it all, never made him think. Blood in his eyes, smoke on his breath, inside his mind, so little left. Stubborn and dated, reflects his views, the path we make is the path we choose. There is no changing here, always much of the same, pale and broken and only one man to blame. Lines on his face, show that he’ll roam. Sleeps in a house, wouldn’t call it a home. Fear in his eyes, he’s facing death, but its coming slowly, wastes his breath. Drowning and burning, but its all the same, see the water, feel the flame. Its been so long, life’s uncertain, only done wrong, so deserving. Everyday is the same damn thing, fighting for my mind, I don’t know how to win it. Drink and eat, smoke and sleep, never knowing the day of the week. Restful days and restless nights, for how long can you fight with yourself until both sides lose, I don’t know how I could even choose. So now, here we are back at it again. Another shined up crystallized night, another battle that I’ll never win. And now its seeming to me that all the problems in my life were just me. My spirits breaking with my body and soul, search for peace has taken its toll. If I find the answers will I even care, I’m in this position, I need to be there. Going nowhere and I’m going fast, but I know ill cherish my past. Don’t say you’re a witness, I don’t know where you’ve been, on my own I did this, on my own ill come back again. So now, here we are back at it again.

Has the voice of the universe ever spoken and changed your mind? Do you believe you control your fate? Would you do it again in another life? I say if you build it, then its only your choice to tear it down. If the creator wills it, then its only his choice what to allow. The time is now to take it back, go and own all you deserve. Don’t look back seize today, a better life is only a blink away. You’ll never know what could have been, or spend your whole life wondering. So, you better be going, don’t keep a foot outside the door. If you don’t have everything you wanted, focus hard and it is yours. When you feel it, you’ll know it, we all know we’re hear for more. If you never stop rowing, someday you’ll make it to the shore.

Think again, can’t take it with you when all of this ends. Break your back, for the ones on top, or do it your own way, no net to drop. So, get a job kid, better go to work. You’ll never make it, unless you conform. Be you, it’s the only chance you’ll get to be somebody in this world. Be you.

Drop the weight of all the pain, its only you inside that brain. Those voices aren’t you, block them out hear someone new. You got to let go of the elephant inside your mind. Move forward, we’re better of leaving the past behind. All that you were, it will all get healed with time. You know the answers, and you know that it will all be alright. Live your life in simple ways, find the good and make it stay. Hold no anger or hate. Will you be remembered when you meet your fate? Slow down, take a breath let it go. On this ride, we only get a turn.
